Mission Statement
History

Tabitha House Mission Outreach Center provides an open door to church and mission groups to participate by sharing their gifts and talents. We are calling for those who have a heart for people in need. Will you answer the call? The need is great and the hands are few in many areas, such as:

• Ministering the Gospel
• Spiritual Enrichment Classes
• Business and Professional Skills
• Ministry Internship
• Working with Children
• Facility Enhancement… plus many more short and long term projects

Bishop James C. Austin
St. Luke Church of God in Christ

The strength of a nation can be best determined not by the number of rich, mighty, healthy, and educated citizens it has, but its effective effort to strengthen the weak, empower the poor, heal its sick, and educate its unlearned.

The home for the homeless is more than a shelter from the storm; it is an organized institution providing an opportunity for its residents to receive the nourishment and guidance they so desperately need.

Thank God for Tabitha House, which has a long track record of effective and intentional service to literally thousands of hurting people from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I pledge my continued support and encourage the support of others.

Living Word Christian Center’s School of Ministry Statement
Minister Joseph Barlow

Living Word Christian Center's School of Ministry & Missions is a 9-month program that helps to train up mighty warriors ready to fight the good fight of faith. Our graduates are prepared to minister wherever the Lord directs as helpers, assistants, ministers and administrators in various ministries like Tabitha House where our students have an opportunity to complete their internship while receiving hands on training.

Brother Samuel Smith
Mission’s Worker

This is a work that the Lord put in my heart to do. I saw a need at Tabitha and I did not have the money to help. I asked the Lord what could I do. When he gave me the answer, I went to my wife and told her that I was going to do volunteer work for Tabitha and when I am able, I will give financial help. She said this was fine.

Right now I am at Tabitha off and on during the week. Some of the things I do include putting locks on doors, cleaning the food pantry, exterminating, passing out food, picking up supplies, and whatever I am able to do when asked. I am a handyman. I do whatever my hands find to do.

I get a lot of satisfaction out of working at Tabitha House because I know the Lord told me to do this, that is why I do not expect pay for anything I do. I feel that when I help them to help others this is what God expects us to do. Believe me when I say God blesses me for being a help to others. My wife and I both love Brother and Sister Walker. They have spent their lifetime helping others. We are willing to help in any way we can.
